Charles Jackson

Limited-term Assistant Professor Of Music at Kennesaw State University

Charles Jackson serves as the Associate Director of the School of Music at Georgia State University since August 2022, and is a Limited-Term Assistant Professor of Music at Kennesaw State University since August 2013. Jackson also conducts the Cobb New Horizons Symphonic Band and has extensive experience in public school teaching, having served as Director of Bands at multiple schools, including Dodgen Middle School and Campbell High School. Jackson retired from public school teaching in 2013 after 34 years of service. Academic qualifications include a Doctor of Musical Arts in Music Education from Shenandoah Conservatory, a Specialist in Education from Georgia State University, and a Master of Science in Instrumental Music Education from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, along with a Bachelor of Music Education from the University of Southern Mississippi.
