Gowri Pillai

Gowri Pillai has extensive experience in design and construction management, currently serving as the Executive Director of Design and Construction Services at Kennesaw State University since November 2023. Prior to this, Gowri held various positions at Georgia State University from April 2014 to November 2023, including Assistant Director, where responsibilities included leading design and construction projects while ensuring compliance with regulations and university standards. Gowri's experience also includes roles as Project Manager at the Georgia Department of Juvenile Justice, focusing on facility design and maintenance, as well as positions at Turner Construction, where responsibilities ranged from structural steel engineering to QA/QC management and superintendent duties. Early career experience includes an Assistant Project Manager role at VCC, emphasizing cost management and pricing.
