Julie McDaniel

Julie McDaniel, AIA, AICP, serves as the Executive Director of Campus Planning at Kennesaw State University since April 2023 and previously held the role of Assistant Director of Planning at Emory University from July 2016 to April 2023. In these positions, Julie McDaniel has led campus planning efforts, managed the Framework Master Plan, and overseen design phases of construction and renovation projects, emphasizing campus accessibility and space management. Julie McDaniel's professional journey includes roles at Cooper Carry as an Architect & Planner and Intern Architect, and at Sizemore Group as an Intern Architect & Planner. Julie McDaniel began the career with a summer internship at Hart Howerton and holds a Bachelor of Architecture from Clemson University and dual Master’s degrees in City and Regional Planning (Urban Design) and Architecture from the Georgia Institute of Technology.
