Lucy Black has worked in the digital, construction and renewable energy sectors for the past 20 years. In 1998, they began their career as an Innovation and Technology Transfer Executive at Forthright Innovation/Stirling University Innovation Park Ltd. Lucy then moved to Services to Software Ltd in 2000 as an Account Manager. In 2001, they became a Senior Consultant at NMP, followed by a Technology Transfer Executive at Targeting Technology Ltd in 2002. After Targeting Technology Ltd was acquired by Targeting Innovation in 2002, they stayed on as a Technology Transfer Executive. In 2008, they joined Scottish Enterprise as a European Technology Transfer Executive for the Enterprise Europe Network Scotland team. In 2016, they began working at the Construction Scotland Innovation Centre as the Head of Business Relationships, and later became the Impact Director. In 2021, they became a Construction Leadership Council Co2nstruct Zero Programme Board Member and an Energy Technology Partnership Advisory Board Member. Most recently, in 2022, they joined Kenoteq as Head Of Business Development.
Lucy Black attended the University of Strathclyde from 1988 to 1993, where they obtained a BA (Hons) in International Marketing and Modern Languages. In May 2019, they obtained a Certificate of Professionalism in Innovation Practice from the INSTITUTE OF INNOVATION AND KNOWLEDGE EXCHANGE.
