Denise Pohl

Denise Pohl is an experienced hospitality instructor and culinary professional with a diverse background in the food industry and education. Currently serving as a Hospitality Instructor and Lead Culinary Aide at Kent Career Tech Center since August 2010, Denise previously held the position of Cafe Manager at Grand Rapids Public Museum and operated Denise's Event Catering from 1998 to 2010. Early in the career, Denise worked as Kitchen Manager and Regional Training Assistant at Sysco Grand Rapids and gained experience as an Assistant Pastry Chef at Kent Country Club. Denise started the professional journey as an Office Assistant at City Sign Erectors. Educational credentials include a Master of Arts in Career and Technical Education from Western Michigan University, an Associate of Arts in Culinary Arts from Grand Rapids Community College, and a Bachelor of Arts in Telecommunications Management from Michigan State University.
