Kathleen Billmire

Kathleen Billmire currently serves as a Permit Specialist with Kent County Government since April 2022. Previously, Kathleen worked for the Mayor and Council of Galena from February 2018 to July 2022, where responsibilities included Town Manager, grant writing, planning and zoning, code enforcement, and economic development and tourism initiatives. During this time, Kathleen specialized in securing government grants, achieving over $1,095,000 in funding for the Town of Galena. Educational qualifications include completion of the Planning Commission Education Course through the Maryland Department of Planning, relevant coursework with the Maryland Municipal League, and an Associate of Science in Computer Science from Baker College. Additional training includes a Grant Writing Practicum.
