Emily Whalen

Emily Whalen is an accomplished finance professional with extensive experience in financial management and accounting across various industries. Currently serving as the Finance Manager at Kent District Library since November 2021, Emily oversees the Finance Department's operations. Prior to this role, Emily was the Controller at Kent Country Club, where responsibilities included managing financial operations, budgeting, and reporting. Previous positions include Accounting Manager at Gun Lake Investments, Senior Accounting Analyst at BISSELL Homecare, Inc., Associate at Nienhuis Financial Group LLC, and Financial Analyst and Accountant at Defense Finance and Accounting Service. Emily holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Ferris State University and completed Executive Education at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
