Sebastien Degraeve, PhD, has an extensive work experience spanning from 2006 to 2021. Sebastien has held positions at various companies and institutions, contributing their expertise in research, development, and engineering.

Starting in 2006, Degraeve worked as a Trainee at the Laboratory of Acoustics of the University of Maine (LAUM) for three months. Sebastien continued their training in acoustics at LAUM in 2007, as well as at Cabasse, where they worked as a Trainee for three months. In 2008, they took up a position as a Trainee at the Czech Technical University in Prague for three months.

In 2008, Degraeve joined Brose Group as the Responsible of the Laboratory of vibro-acoustics, a role they held for four months. Sebastien then moved on to KTR-Lab, where they worked as an Electro-Acoustic Engineer from June 2009 to November 2010.

In 2014, Degraeve joined Xaar as a Scientist (Modelling) and later progressed to the role of Senior Scientist (Modelling), both focusing on their expertise in modeling. Sebastien served at Xaar for four years, until June 2018.

Since July 2018, Degraeve has been a part of KEF | Kent Engineering & Foundry, initially serving as a Research and Development Engineer. Sebastien then advanced to the position of Senior Research and Development Engineer in January 2021, where they continue to contribute their skills and knowledge.

Throughout their career, Degraeve has demonstrated a strong dedication to research, development, and engineering in the field of acoustics.

Sebastien Degraeve, PhD, has a strong education background in the field of Acoustics and Vibrations. Sebastien started their education journey in 2003 at Ozanam High School, where they completed a Two-year undergraduate course in Electronics. Afterward, they pursued their Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Acoustics and Vibrations from Le Mans Université, which they completed in 2006. Sebastien then continued their studies at the same university and obtained a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Acoustics and Vibrations in 2008.

Sebastien's education journey culminated in earning a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Acoustic Metamaterials from IEMN, Lille in 2013. This extensive education has equipped him with a strong theoretical and practical foundation in their field of expertise.
