Head Of Treatment Development at FCC Environment

Daniel Murphy, MCIWM, currently serves as the Head of Treatment Development at FCC Environment, a position held since January 2009, overseeing the procurement and delivery of Local Authority waste and resource infrastructure. Previous roles at FCC include Project Director and Bid Manager, where Daniel managed significant waste PFI/PPP projects, such as the Edinburgh and Midlothian Zero Waste initiative. Prior experience includes serving as the North West Regional Coordinator for NISP Network, where Daniel led efforts that diverted over 160,000 tonnes of waste from landfill, and as Principal Consultant at Gordon Mackie Associates, advising Local Authorities on waste and resource matters. Additional positions include Site Manager at ALCO Waste Management and Technical Development Engineer at Cleanaway. Daniel holds several educational qualifications, including a BEng (Hons) in Chemical and Process Engineering from Newcastle University and a Level 5 Operations/Department Manager qualification from the Chartered Management Institute.
