Lead Systems Administrator at Kent State University

Andrew Huston has a strong background in systems administration and technical support. Andrew began their career as a Computer Lab Technician at Kent State University at Tuscarawas in 2004, where they were responsible for setting up, configuring, and administering the campus primary domain controller and virtualization server. In 2008, they transitioned to Kent State University as a Lead IT User Support Analyst, where they provided technical support to executives, implemented centralized authentication systems, and developed an online web portal. From 2013 onwards, Andrew served as a Sr Systems Administrator, taking on responsibilities such as managing the Apple device management platform, providing training and tier 3 support for Apple devices, and assisting with data migration for the College of Visual Communication and Design. Andrew is currently employed as a Lead Systems Administrator at Kent State University, starting in October 2022.

Andrew Huston earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Technology from Kent State University in 2003-2004. Andrew became a Certified Jamf Administrator in 2014 and an Apple Certified Technical Coordinator in 2011.
