Brenda Burke

Brenda Burke has extensive experience in the field of financial aid in various academic institutions. Brenda currently holds the position of Associate Vice President for Student Financial Aid at Kent State University since March 2020. Prior to this, they served as the Executive Director of the University Office of Scholarships and Financial Aid at the University of Utah from December 2015 to February 2020. Before joining the University of Utah, Brenda held the role of Director of Financial Aid at Virginia Commonwealth University from November 2006 to December 2015. Brenda started their career in the field of financial aid at Tidewater Community College, where they served as Financial Aid and Veterans staff member from 1994 to 2000.

Brenda Burke has a Master's degree in Higher Education/Higher Education Administration from Old Dominion University. Brenda also has a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Finance and Financial Management Services from Radford University. In addition, they have earned several hours towards a PhD in Higher Education from Virginia Tech.
