Catherine Meredith is an experienced dance professional currently serving as an Assistant Professor of Dance at Kent State University since August 2019. Prior to this role, Catherine was the Rehearsal Director and Resident Choreographer for Dancing Wheels Company, the nation's first physically integrated dance company, from February 2011 to August 2019, where responsibilities included re-staging and rehearsing works by renowned choreographers. Additional experience includes a tenure as Principal Dancer and choreographer with Verb Ballets from 2003 to 2010, during which multiple original works premiered at significant venues, and an earlier role as Dancer/Rehearsal Associate with Cortez & Co. Contemporary/Ballet from 1997 to 2002. Catherine holds a Master of Fine Arts (MFA) in Dance from Hollins University and a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) in Dance from The University of Akron, alongside training from the Alvin Ailey American Dance Center and Purchase College, SUNY.
