Karen Watson

Karen Watson serves as the Employee and Labor Relations Director at Kent State University, a position held since July 2013, where responsibilities include performance improvement, mediations, negotiations, and overseeing the transitional work programs. Previously, Karen had extensive experience in employee relations roles within the university, including positions as Labor Relations Director and Hearing Officer, as well as serving as Secretary/Treasurer for the Latino Networking Caucus. With a solid educational background in Applied Conflict Management and Conflict Resolution obtained from Kent State University, Karen has effectively contributed to enhancing labor relations and workforce management since starting at the university in 1994.
