Leigh Greenfelder has a diverse work experience in the fields of communications, public relations, and alumni engagement. Leigh currently serves as the Senior Associate Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Philanthropy and Alumni Engagement at Kent State University, where they are responsible for strategic leadership, communications, events, and budgeting. Prior to this, they held roles as the Associate Vice President and Assistant Vice President, leading integrated teams for communications and outreach at the university.
Before joining Kent State University, Leigh worked at WhiteSpace Creative as a Vice President, overseeing various integrated programs including strategic planning, public relations, advertising, and branding. Leigh also served as the Vice President of Public Relations at WhiteSpace Creative, leading a team of PR professionals.
Leigh's career started at Highland PR, which was later acquired by WhiteSpace Creative, where they held the positions of Account Executive and Vice President. Leigh'sresponsibilities included managing clients' communications needs and coordinating marketing campaigns.
Additionally, Leigh has experience as the Director of Media and Community Relations at the Akron Racers and in public relations at Dix & Eaton.
Leigh Greenfelder completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in Public Communications and Psychology from Ashland University in 2003. Prior to that, they attended Coastal Carolina University in 1999-2000 and Jackson High School from 1995-1999.
