Mike Papania has extensive work experience in the field of information technology. Mike started their career as a Manager of Information Systems at The University of Akron in 2004. In 2008, they joined Kent State University as a Lead IT User Support Analyst and later served as a Project Manager. Mike then progressed to the role of Associate Director of Information Technology and is currently working as the Director of Information Technology at Kent State University. In their current role, they lead a team of professionals and is responsible for developing innovative software applications to advance the university's mission.
Mike Papania holds a BS in Computer Information Systems from Kent State University and an MBA in Management from The University of Akron. In addition, they have obtained several certifications, including "Managing Projects with Microsoft Teams," "Microsoft Planner Essential Training," "OneNote for Team Collaboration," "Cert Prep: PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP)," and a PMP certification from the Project Management Institute.
