Sam Rubens

Sam Rubens is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in air quality management and education. Currently serving as a part-time instructor at Kent State University since January 2014, Rubens also holds the position of Administrator at ARAQMD/SCPH since July 2012. Previously, Rubens was a Supervisor of Air Quality at Summit County General Health District, overseeing enforcement and monitoring staff, as well as managing the Indoor Air Program from January 2011 to December 2012. Prior to that role, Rubens worked as a Laboratory Analyst III at the Akron Regional Air Quality Management District from October 1994 to December 2010, focusing on indoor and ambient air quality. Educational credentials include a Master's degree in Public Administration from The University of Akron and a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry from Kent State University.
