Vimal Vinayan

Vimal Vinayan is a seasoned professional in naval architecture and engineering with extensive experience in various roles across multiple prestigious organizations. Currently serving as Manager of Naval Architects, Engineering & Consulting at Kent since July 2021, Vimal has held prominent positions including Principal Consultant at SNC-Lavalin and MARIN, as well as Principal Naval Architect at Houston Offshore Engineering. Vimal's expertise in hydrodynamics and naval architecture is backed by a PhD in Ocean Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin and a Master's degree from Florida Atlantic University. Early career experiences include serving as a Senior Engineer at Mazagon Dock Limited and a Research Associate at The University of Texas at Austin. Vimal's educational foundation was laid at Cochin University of Science and Technology, where a Bachelor's degree in Naval Architecture and Ship Building was obtained.
