Zach Fisher has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Zach began their career in 2011 as a Server, Host, Togo, and Bartender at Chili's, where they worked until 2014. In 2013, they interned as an Operations Intern at the Louisville Sports Commission and the Kentucky Derby Festival.
In 2014, Fisher took on various roles, including Water Stop Team Leader at The Color Run, Contracted Team Member at Silverback Enterprises, Operations Intern at the Allstate Sugar Bowl, and Stat Crew member for the New Orleans Pelicans.
Zach continued to gain experience in event management and operations by working as a Manager of Race Registrations at the Louisville Sports Commission in 2015. In the same year, they also worked as an Auditor at The Rawlings Group.
Fisher's most recent and notable position is at the Kentucky Derby Festival, where they started as an Event Manager in 2016. Zach quickly advanced to the role of Senior Event Manager in 2019 and is currently working as the Director of Events & Operations since June 2021.
Zach Fisher obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Sports Administration with a minor in Communications from the University of Louisville, where they studied from 2010 to 2014. In addition to their academic achievements, they have acquired certifications such as Sport Event Risk Management and Sport Venue Evacuation & Protective Actions, both from Texas A&M Engineering Extension Service. Zach also holds the designation of Certified Festival and Event Executive (CFEE) from the International Festivals & Events Association, which they earned in October 2018.
