Mark Bunning

Mark Bunning is a seasoned financial executive with extensive experience in both the private and public sectors. Currently serving as Chief Financial Officer at Kentucky Employers' Mutual Insurance (KEMI) since May 2019, Mark is responsible for financial reporting, budgeting, investments, and financial strategy for Kentucky's largest workers' compensation insurer. Prior to this role, Mark served as Deputy Secretary for the Commonwealth of Kentucky from January 2016 to April 2019, overseeing a budget of approximately $1 billion and managing over 1800 staff across various reporting agencies. Mark holds a Master's degree in Finance and a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics, both earned from the University of Kentucky.
