Beatrice Opiyo has extensive experience in food safety and quality management, currently serving as Program Manager for Food Safety and Quality at the Kenya Bureau of Standards since July 2010. Prior to this role, Beatrice was an International Food Safety Consultant at the International Trade Centre from June 2013 to 2021. Beatrice's educational background includes a Master's of Science in Food Safety and Quality from the University of Nairobi, a Post-graduate certificate in Food Law and Food Safety from Texas A&M University, a Bachelor's degree in Food Science and Technology from the University of Nairobi, and a Diploma of Education with a focus on HACCP and Food Management from The Hebrew University of Jerusalem.
