Batistar Kingori

Batistar Kingori has extensive experience in the energy sector, currently serving as the Acting Chief Planning Officer for Electricity Tariffs at Kenya Power since March 2020, where responsibilities include leading the analysis, implementation, and evaluation of electricity tariffs. Key achievements include facilitating a 15% reduction in end-user tariffs in January 2022 and overseeing the implementation of tariff policies. Previously, Batistar worked as an Economist at the Energy Regulatory Commission of Kenya, focusing on electricity tariff reviews and evaluations of energy projects. Educational qualifications include a Master of Science in Economics from the University of Namibia and multiple courses in finance and accounting from the Corporate Finance Institute.
