Sustainable Mobility Manager at Keolis Downer

Jonathan Anderson has extensive work experience in the fields of sustainable mobility and industrial & process engineering.

From 2014 to 2021, they worked at Arup as an Industrial & Process Engineer, where they utilized their mechanical and systems engineering background to solve problems in various industries such as energy, water and wastewater, agribusiness, resources, manufacturing, ports and aviation, logistics, transport planning, and process design, control, and automation. Jonathan was involved in projects related to hydrogen refuelling station design, assessment of hydrogen in gas networks, battery integration into thermal power stations, and feasibility studies for pumped hydro energy storage.

Since 2021, Jonathan has been working at Keolis Downer as a Sustainable Mobility Manager. In this role, they apply their broad background in energy and transport to develop sustainable public transport solutions across Australia. Jonathan focuses on areas such as battery electric vehicles, charging solutions, integration with the grid and energy markets, hydrogen vehicles, and the development of green hydrogen supply chains.

In 2012, Jonathan had a vacation role at Arup as a Vacation Student.

Jonathan Anderson completed their VCE at Northcote High School from 2007 to 2008. Jonathan then pursued their Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Systems at the University of Melbourne from 2009 to 2011. Subsequently, they obtained a Master of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from the same university from 2012 to 2013.
