Darragh Gilhawley has a diverse work experience in the food industry. Darragh started their career in 2005 at CPM Ireland as a Field Sales representative on the Mars Masterfoods account. In 2008, they joined Kerry Group as an Assistant Brand Manager for Denny, where they participated in award-winning brand activation. Darragh then became a Brand Manager for Kerrymaid, managing its growth and developing sales reports and brand communications. Gilhawley also served as a Business Development Manager and Commercial Manager Foodservice at Kerry Group. In 2016, they joined Kepak Group as the Head of Business Development for Foodservice and later became the Head of FS Key Accounts, Europe in 2022.
Darragh Gilhawley has a diverse education history. In 1995, they began their academic journey at St. Macartans College in Monaghan, where they focused on Communication and Media Studies. Darragh later attended Dublin City University from 2001 to 2004, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications with a specialization in Media Studies, radio broadcast, and current affairs. Continuing their education, in 2004 and 2005, they attended Dublin Business School, obtaining a Higher Diploma in Business with a focus on Management, Marketing, and E-Business. In 2008 and 2009, Darragh pursued a Diploma in Management at the Irish Management Institute, specializing in Change Management, Presentation Skills, Strategy & Innovation, Negotiation Skills, and Leadership & Motivation. Alongside their formal education, Darragh has also obtained additional certifications, including a Diploma in Digital Marketing from the Digital Marketing Institute, Finance for Non-Financial Managers from the Irish Management Institute, and Social Media Strategy from The Marketing Institute of Ireland.
