Julien Bernard

Julien Bernard's work experience begins with an internship as a Space Mission Analyst at NovaNano SAS in 2011. In 2012, they worked as an Intern Ground Segment Analyst at B-USOC at Belgian Institute for Space Aeronomy. Julien then joined GomSpace in 2013 as an Orbital Mechanics and Space Mission Analyst before moving on to Telespazio S.p.A. as a Satellite Operation Engineer. In 2016, Julien worked as an O3B spacecraft operations and Galileo bid specialist at SES Satellites. Julien then joined OHB System in 2017 as a Lead Satellite Systems Engineer, where they stayed until 2022. Currently, Julien holds the role of Systems Engineering Manager at Kepler Communications Inc. since November 2022, and in June 2023, they will transition into the role of Director of Satellite Systems at the same company.

Julien Bernard completed their education in the field of Aerospace, Aeronautical, and Astronautical Engineering. Julien first attended ELISA from 2009 to 2013, where they earned a Master of Science (M.S.) degree. In 2011 to 2012, they pursued further studies at Universidad Politécnica de Madrid, also earning a Master of Science degree in the same field. In 2015, they attended the International Space University, where they obtained a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Aerospace, Aeronautical, and Astronautical/Space Engineering.

Julien also holds a certification in STK (Systems Tool Kit) obtained in October 2015 from AGI (Analytical Graphics Inc.).
