Christine (Ji Eun) Lee

Christine (Ji Eun) Lee has a diverse work experience in the field of satellite operations, engineering, teaching, and project management. Christine (Ji Eun) currently serves as the Satellite Operations Lead at Kepler Communications Inc. since January 2022. Before that, they worked as a Satellite Operations Specialist III and II from April 2021 to January 2022 and from September 2020 to April 2021, respectively, at the same company. Christine (Ji Eun) began their career at Kepler Communications Inc. as a Satellite Operations Specialist I from March 2020 to September 2020.

In 2019, Christine worked as a Venture Manager (Space Stream) at Creative Destruction Lab, where they supported early-stage ventures in setting objectives, providing mentorship, raising capital, and offering business development support.

From 2017 to 2019, they joined the Space Flight Laboratory - UTIAS as a Software Engineer / Data Engineer, gaining hands-on systems engineering experience in designing and building microsatellites and nanosatellites.

During their time at the University of Toronto, Christine served as a Teaching Assistant for two different courses. From January 2019 to April 2019, they were a Teaching Assistant for AER201 - Engineering Design, providing feedback and guidance to students on their robotic system designs. Christine (Ji Eun) also served as a Teaching Assistant for AER407 - Space Systems Design from September 2018 to December 2018, introducing students to the process of designing space systems.

Christine began their professional journey at MDA (now known as Maxar Technologies) in 2015. Christine (Ji Eun) worked as a Project Engineer on the Satellite Imaging System (SIS) Lite project and as a Project Management Intern in the Project Management department, where they implemented management best practices and collaborated with project managers.

In 2014, Christine worked as a Research Student at UTIAS, contributing to a rover project under the supervision of Professor M.R. Emami.

Christine (Ji Eun) Lee pursued their education at the University of Toronto, where they earned a Bachelor of Applied Science (BASc) degree in Engineering Science. This program took their from 2012 to 2017. Building on their undergraduate education, Christine then pursued a Master's degree in Space Systems Engineering at the University of Toronto from 2017 to 2019.
