Jared L. has a diverse work experience with various roles in different companies. Jared started their career at BYU as a Project Coordinator/Project Manager from 2000 to 2005. After that, they joined Symantec as a Software & Security Engineer in 2006. Jared then worked as a Computer Scientist at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory from 2007 to 2010. Next, Jared joined MITRE as a Lead Software Engineer from 2010 to 2012. Currently, they are the Co-founder, Principal Software Engineer & Researcher Phd Candidate at Kepora, starting from April 2012. Overall, Jared has extensive experience in software engineering, project management, and research.

Jared L. has a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering from Brigham Young University. Jared also holds a Master's degree in Computer Science from The Johns Hopkins University. Currently, they are pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree at Virginia Tech. In terms of certifications, Jared is a Certified ScrumMaster accredited by Scrum Alliance and a Certified Hadoop Developer (CCDH) certified by Cloudera. Jared also obtained the Splunk Core Certified Consultant and Splunk Enterprise Certified Architect certifications from Splunk. Additionally, Jared is currently working towards obtaining the Amazon Web Services Solutions Architect Associate certification from Amazon Web Services (AWS).
