Mathias Strauss

Mathias Strauss currently serves as the Director of Research and Product Development at Kerecis, where responsibilities include shaping the strategic vision for engineering and research, as well as managing project planning, execution, and delivery to align with customer expectations. Previously, Mathias held the role of Senior Research and Product Development Manager at the Centro Nacional de Pesquisa em Energia e Materiais (CNPEM) from June 2014 to May 2023, leading R&D for various projects, securing funding for over 15 initiatives, and contributing to the development of multiple patents and publications. Additionally, Mathias volunteered as the Director of Projects and Calls at Fundo Patrimonial Patronos, focusing on strategic planning and project management. Early career experience includes a position as a Research Associate at the State University of Campinas. Mathias holds a PhD in Inorganic and Materials Chemistry from Universidade Estadual de Campinas, as well as a PhD from Leibniz Universität Hannover, alongside a Master's and Bachelor's degree in Chemistry from Universidade Estadual de Campinas.
