Zachary Wells has an extensive career in the fire service, currently serving as Deputy Fire Chief at Kern County Fire Department since November 2005, with previous roles including Battalion Chief and Captain/Engineer/Firefighter. In addition to responsibilities at Kern County Fire Department, Zachary holds a position on the Technology Council for the International Association of Fire Chiefs (IAFC) since November 2020, focusing on fostering innovative technological solutions in fire and rescue services. Additionally, Zachary acts as a Liaison/Advisor for ALERTWildfire, a consortium dedicated to enhancing situational awareness for firefighters through advanced fire monitoring technologies. Furthermore, Zachary is part of the Emerging Information Technologies Specialist Group at FIRESCOPE, which aims to research and promote effective information technologies for fire and rescue agencies. Educationally, Zachary earned a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration and Leadership from Concordia University Irvine, and possesses an AA in Liberal Arts from Santiago Canyon College and an AS in Fire Science from Santa Ana College.
