Luis Garcia

Luis Garcia, LCSW, PPSC, is an experienced professional in social emotional and academic support within educational settings. Currently serving as the Senior Director of Social Emotional & Academic Supports at Kern County Superintendent of Schools since July 2022, Luis designs and facilitates professional development for school staff while collaborating with administrators to enhance school culture and climate. Previous roles include PBIS Coordinator and School Social Worker at Lamont Elementary School District and Kern High School District, respectively, where Luis implemented behavioral supports and provided individual student support. Earlier experience includes work as a Behavioral Intervention Specialist and Intervention Specialist in various school districts, contributing to the implementation of mental health programs and evidenced-based interventions.
