Selin Beyhan

Selin Beyhan has a diverse range of work experience in language services and education. Selin currently works as a Head Trainer at KERN Global Language Services, where they started in September 2023. Prior to this role, they were a Trainer (GER-EN-TR) at the same company since March 2020. Selin also has experience as a Language Consultant at Global Arena since October 2022 and as a Corporate Language Trainer at Global LT, Inc. since September 2022. Selin worked as a Translator & Post-Editor at greatcontent from May 2020 to September 2022. Selin has also worked as a Lehrerin für Deutsch als Fremdsprache at the Bundesamt für Migration und Flüchtlinge (BAMF) from October 2020 to October 2021. Selin Beyhan has an extensive education history. From 2018 to 2023, they attended Heidelberg University and obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in English Studies with a specialization in Emotions & Values in Changing Environments. Prior to this, from 2015 to 2018, they also attended Heidelberg University and earned a Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in English Literature and Linguistics.

Before their studies at Heidelberg University, Selin Beyhan attended Boğaziçi University from 2009 to 2014. Selin completed their undergraduate studies in the Faculty of Arts and Sciences, majoring in Translation and Interpreting Studies. Additionally, from 2011 to 2012, they furthered their expertise by attending HOGENT, where they studied Language Interpretation and Translation in the Faculty of Applied Linguistics.

In addition to their formal education, Selin Beyhan has obtained several certifications. In June 2019, they completed a Crisis Communication certification from BASF. Selin also holds a CELTA (Certificate in English Language Teaching to Adults) certification, which they obtained in January 2015 from Cambridge University. The institution responsible for their second CELTA certification is unspecified.
