Robert Price

Robert Price is a seasoned broadcast journalist and writer with extensive experience in various media roles. Currently serving as a news reporter at KGET-TV 17 since February 2020, Robert has also been a metro columnist for The Bakersfield Californian since March 1988, contributing three columns a week. In addition to these positions, Robert is an author of the book "The Bakersfield Sound: How a Generation of Displaced Okies Revolutionized American Music," published in December 2015. Previous experience includes serving as a senior editor at a daily newspaper and working as a sports editor and columnist for Freedom Communications Inc. Robert holds a BA in Journalism/English from California State University-Sacramento, earned between 1981 and 1985.
