Josh Schmidt has a strong background in engineering, with a focus on mechanical design and development. Josh most recently worked at Kernel as a Senior Mechanical Engineer. Prior to that, they held the role of Sr. Design Engineer at Oakley for six years, specializing in helmet design. Josh also gained experience as a Senior Helmet Engineer at Easton Sports and a Senior Engineer at SmartShape Design. In addition, they served as a Senior Project Engineer at Team Wendy and a Product Development Engineer at Warrior Sports. Before transitioning into engineering roles, Josh worked as a Designer/Fabricator at PlasticTech, Koh Development and as a Mechanic at Great Lakes Cycle and Fitness. Josh began their engineering career as an Engineering Intern at Tower Automotive, where they gained experience in business migration and process engineering.
From 1997 to 2002, Josh Schmidt attended the University of Michigan, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering. Following this, from 2006 to 2010, they attended Wayne State University, where they obtained a Master of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering.
