Victor Szczepanski

Victor Szczepanski has a diverse work experience in software development and research. Victor started their career as a Software Developer at the Antenna Development Corporation, where they developed antenna measurement software and other applications for in-house use. Later, they worked as a Software Developer at Visgence Inc., where they designed and developed a sensor monitoring system.

Victor then joined Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) as a Computer Scientist. In this role, they developed software to meet the warfighter's needs and promoted the adoption of agile software methodologies within the organization. Victor also served as a Scrum Master and product manager, working with industry leaders to prove out modern software development practices and promote agile transformation. Additionally, they implemented DevOps to improve software teams' quality and time-to-delivery.

During their time at New Mexico State University, Victor worked as a Research Fellow and Student Researcher. As a Research Fellow, they integrated Computational Thinking into high school classrooms. As a Student Researcher, they worked on projects related to sensor networks and developed a distributed Android-based Smart Microgrid.

Victor'sexperience also includes being a Graduate Research Fellow at the National Science Foundation, where they implemented novel Game Theory equilibrium detection algorithms.

In 2019, Victor joined Kernel as a Software Engineer.

Victor Szczepanski obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Philosophy from New Mexico State University in the years 2005 to 2009. Following this, they attended Nagoya University of Foreign Studies from 2007 to 2008, where they received a Certificate of Completion in the Culture Program. Continuing their education, Victor pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science at New Mexico State University from 2011 to 2014. Finally, they completed a Master's degree in Computer Science at New Mexico State University from 2014 to 2016. In addition to their formal education, Victor earned a Professional Scrum Master I certification from Scrum.org in April 2018.
