Jeff Myers, MD, PhD has extensive work experience in the medical and pharmaceutical industries. Jeff is currently serving as the Chief Medical Officer at Beyond Air® since March 2023. Prior to this, they were a Board Member and Interim President/CEO at Bioceptive starting from March 2022. In July 2022, they also held the role of Entrepreneur In Residence at University of Virginia Licensing & Ventures Group.

From October 2020 to March 2022, Dr. Myers worked as the Chief Medical Officer at Revolo Biotherapeutics. Before that, they served as the Chief Medical Officer and Senior Vice President, Medical Affairs at Portola Pharmaceuticals from February 2019 to October 2020.

Dr. Myers also held various senior positions in other organizations. From July 2017 to January 2019, they were the Senior Vice President, Clinical Development, Regulatory, and Medical Affairs at SteadyMed Therapeutics. Dr. Myers started their career in healthcare as the Chief of Pediatric Cardiac Surgery and Associate Professor of Surgery at Harvard at Massachusetts General Hospital from 2007 to 2009. Before that, they held the position of Chief, Pediatric Cardiac Surgery at Le Bonheur Children's Medical Center from 2005 to 2007.

Throughout their career, Dr. Myers has demonstrated expertise in medical affairs, clinical development, regulatory affairs, and entrepreneurship in the medical field.

Jeff Myers, MD, PhD has a strong educational background in the field of medicine and physiology. Jeff obtained their Bachelor of Science degree in Microbiology from the University of Oklahoma in 1987. Following this, they attended the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine from 1987 to 1991, where they earned their MD with Honors.

In pursuit of further specialization, Myers pursued a PhD in Cardiopulmonary Physiology at Georgetown University from 1993 to 1996. Jeff excelled in this program, earning their PhD with Distinction.

To gain practical experience and enhance their surgical expertise, Myers completed a Cardiac Surgery Fellowship at Duke University from 1999 to 2001. During this period, they focused on cardiac surgery.

Additionally, Myers pursued a fellowship in Pediatric Cardiac Surgery and Transplantation (Heart/Lung) at UCLA from 2001 to 2002, further expanding their specialized knowledge and skills in this field.
