Principal Scientist at Keros Therapeutics

Kevin Dagbay has a diverse work experience in the field of biomedical research. Kevin is currently working at Keros Therapeutics as a Principal Scientist. Previously, they worked at Ampersand Biomedicines as a Senior Scientist. Prior to that, Kevin held roles at Scholar Rock, where they served as a Senior Scientist and program co-lead for an early preclinical stage program. Kevin was responsible for protein design/engineering, antibody discovery and analytics, as well as assay development. Kevin'sexpertise in structural biology allowed him to design strategies to understand antibody binding mechanisms. Kevin also managed research collaborations with academic and industry partners. Before joining Scholar Rock, Kevin worked as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Harvard Medical School and Boston Children's Hospital. Kevin started their career as a Graduate Research/Teaching Assistant at the University of Massachusetts Amherst, where they led a drug discovery effort and conducted research on the structural dynamics and regulation of caspase-6. Kevin has also worked as an Assistant Professor at Mapúa University. Overall, Kevin's work experience showcases their expertise in protein engineering, antibody discovery, structural biology, and research collaboration.

Kevin Dagbay has an extensive education history in the field of biological chemistry. Kevin obtained their Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Biochemistry from the University of the Philippines in 2003. Kevin then pursued a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Chemistry from the same institution, which they completed in 2008. Following their master's degree, Kevin went on to earn a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Biological Chemistry from the University of Massachusetts Amherst in 2017.

In addition to their formal degrees, Kevin has obtained several certifications. Kevin completed the Chemistry-Biology Interface Training Program at the University of Massachusetts Amherst in April 2017. In February 2015, they received a certificate in Cellular Engineering from the same institution. Furthermore, they obtained a certificate in Spanish Language (Beginner Level) from the Instituto Cervantes in 2008.
