Omar Kamel

Omar Kamel is a Mechanical Engineer with extensive experience in district energy projects, wastewater heat recovery systems, and HVAC design. Currently employed at Kerr Wood Leidal Associates Ltd. since April 2023, Omar prepares technical proposals and manages sewer heat recovery projects. Previously, Omar worked at AECOM, contributing to the design of large-scale heat pump systems and chilled water plants. Experience also includes design work for cooling systems at FVB Energy Inc., as well as project engineering at WSP and Suncor Energy. Omar's education includes a Master’s degree in Building Engineering from Concordia University and a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Higher Technological Institute.
