Dr. Kilian Schmidt

Dr. Kilian Schmidt has had a long and varied career in the legal and business fields. In 2009, they began their career as a Working Student for Rocket Internet SE, Venture (eCareer). From 2010-2013, they worked as a Research Assistant for K&L Gates, followed by a role as a Legal Advisor for LEVERTON from 2013-2014. From 2014-2018, they held two roles at Home24 AG, first as a Legal Counsel and then as a Senior Legal Counsel. In 2018, they became a Rechtsanwalt (Associate) at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer. From 2019-2021, they were the Director Legal & Public Policy (General Counsel) | Prokurist at TIER Mobility. In 2021, they became Co-Founder & CEO of KERTOS and an Advisor for Gorillas.

Dr. Kilian Schmidt completed their education in the following order: Matric at Hilton College from 2002 to 2003, Grundstudium in Rechtswissenschaften at Universität Passau from 2006 to 2008, 1. Staatsexamen in Jura at Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin from 2008 to 2011, 2. Staatsexamen in Jurastudium, allgemein at Kammergericht from 2012 to 2014, and "Die Unionsgewährleistungsmarke" Dr. iur. (Ph.D.) at The Julius Maximilians University of Würzburg from 2016 to 2020.
