Philip J. Driscoll

Phil Driscoll is the CEO of Kessler Institute’s Saddle Brook campus. He is responsible for the day-to-day operations of this 112-bed hospital, including the delivery of safe, quality patient care, employee engagement, regulatory compliance, facility management, financial performance, and overall governance.

Prior to joining Kessler in 2001, Phil was vice president of clinical program development and strategic planning at Somerset Medical Center in Somerville, NJ. During his 35-year career in health care, he has been a practice leader with The Permanente Company in Oakland, CA; vice president of venture management at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick, NJ; a management consultant within Coopers & Lybrand’s Metropolitan New York Healthcare Consulting Practice; and a budget analyst with the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation.

A Fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives, Phil is a member of the board of directors of the Health Research & Educational Trust (HRET) and the New Jersey Hospital Association, where he also serves as on the finance, investment, and policy development committees. He also served as chairman of the Northern New Jersey Go Red for Women luncheon 2020.

Phil graduated from Vassar College with a bachelor’s degree in English and completed his master’s in business administration from the Columbia University Graduate School of Business. He also earned an advanced professional certificate in accounting from New York University’s Stern School of Business at New York University. He has been with Kessler Institute since 2001.
