Phil Nobes

Phil Nobes has extensive experience in the coal mining industry, currently serving as the General Manager of Operations at Kestrel Coal Resources since January 2022. Prior to this role, Phil held various management positions at Glencore Coal from October 2012 to December 2021, and previously at Newlands Northern Underground Xstrata Coal, Isaac Plains Coal, BMA Blackwater Mine, and BMA Broadmeadow Mine. Phil's career spans multiple leadership roles, including Operations Manager/SSE and Mining Manager, highlighting a strong background in operational excellence and team management. Phil earned a Bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering from UNSW between 1993 and 1996.
