Jaap Bergwerff

Jaap Bergwerff has extensive work experience in various positions within the chemical industry. From 2007 to 2020, they worked at Albemarle Corporation, starting as a Research Scientist and progressing to roles such as Section Head Catalyst Research and R&D Manager. During this time, they focused on catalyst research and development. Prior to that, from 2003 to 2007, they were a PhD student at Utrecht University, where they specialized in Spatially Resolved Spectroscopy on the Preparation of CoMo/Al2O3 Hydrodesulphurization Catalysts. Currently, they are working at Ketjen Corporation as a Research Director and Business Development Director Renewables.

Jaap Bergwerff obtained their Doctor of Philosophy in Chemistry and Catalysis from Utrecht University in 2007. Prior to that, they completed their MSc in Chemistry at Utrecht University from 1997 to 2002. Jaap also acquired a propedeuse in Business Administration from Erasmus University Rotterdam in 2000. Their earlier education includes attending Interconfesioneel Westland College from 1991 to 1997.
