Jon Stein has held a variety of roles in the finance industry since 1986. Jon began their career as a Junior Trader at SwissBank-O'Connor in 1986. Jon then moved to Morningstar in 1989, where they were an Associate and Analyst. In 1993, they published their book, "Trading Currency Cross Rates," with John Wiley & Sons. Jon then joined Rotella Capital Management in 1997 as Chief Strategic Officer. In 2002, they moved to Efficient Capital Management, where they were Chief Strategic Officer and Chairman of the Investment & Allocation Committee. In 2005, they became CIO & Member of AlphaMetrix, where they constructed and operated a macro/CTA/FX manager platform. Jon then joined Parker Global in 2007 as Managing Director, responsible for all multi-manager portfolios focused on macro, CTA, FX, options and commodities strategies. In 2013, they joined Astor Janssen Partners as Managing Director, managing the Macro, CTA and FX multi-manager portfolios at the firm. Finally, in 2021, they became a Board Member of Third Wire Asset Management. Jon also served as CEO of Kettera Strategies from 2013-2021, where they were responsible for the Hydra online marketplace.
Jon Stein attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison from an unknown start year until 1987, where they earned a Bachelor of Science in Journalism and Civil Engineering. Jon then attended the Chicago-Kent College of Law from 1991 to 1994, where they earned a Juris Doctorate.
