Derek Morgan

Derek Morgan has been working in human resources for over 15 years. Derek started their career as a teacher, before becoming a principal and then an administrator at Centura Health. In January 2005, they became the Director of Human Resources at Avista Adventist Hospital. Derek remained in that position for seven years, until December 2012. During their time at Avista, they were responsible for recruiting, retaining, and compensating employees, as well as setting the HR strategic direction for the hospital. Derek also implemented a succession planning model for senior level leadership. In January 2013, Morgan joined Kettering College as a Board Member.

Derek Morgan has a Master of Education (M.Ed.) in Educational Administration from Avondale College of Higher Education and a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) in Secondary Education from the same school.

Derek Morgan reports to Nate Brandstater, President. They work with Donovan B. Ross - Board Member, Adam Brown - Dean of Student Success, and Scott Bennie - Dean of Health Professions, Graduate Studies, and Institutional Effectiveness.
