Erica Doherty

Erica Doherty is currently the Assistant Director of Admissions at Keuka College. Erica previously worked as an Admissions Counselor at St. John Fisher College from June 2019 to November 2021. In this role, they recruited prospective students from Long Island, Eastern Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and downstate region of New York State as well as students from Livingston, Wayne and Ontario counties through high school visits, college fairs, receptions, and informational interviews. Erica also supported students and families through the college search process by answering questions and assisting them in the completion of the required documents to apply for acceptance, scholarships, and financial aid. In addition, Erica reviewed over 500 new student applications from across the country for eligibility and academic qualification.

Prior to their work at St. John Fisher College, Erica was the Area Coordinator at SUNY Geneseo from August 2017 to June 2019. In this role, they were responsible for the supervision of a team of Resident Assistants who created and implemented programming aimed at fostering student growth and development. Erica also served as a liaison between students and faculty/staff, helped to resolve conflict within the residence halls, and oversaw the budget for their area.

Erica began their career in higher education as a Graduate Assistant for Student & Leadership Development at Rochester Institute of Technology from June 2017 to August 2017. In this role, they advised first-year students on their transition to college and helped them get involved in co-curricular activities. Erica also created and

Erica Doherty has a Master of Science in Higher Education/Higher Education Administration from Stony Brook University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Communication, General (Personal/Professional Track) from SUNY Geneseo.
