Silja Varmola

Silja Varmola has a diverse work experience in the finance industry. Silja started their career as a Financial Analyst at Carnegie Investment Bank AB in Finland in 2006, where they focused on equity analysis in sectors such as food and drink, capital goods, and pharmaceutical distribution. In 2009, Silja joined Keva, a public pension fund for municipal and local government employees in Finland, as a Portfolio Manager for Listed Equities. Silja progressed to the role of Senior Portfolio Manager before becoming the Head of External Equities in May 2022. At Keva, Silja managed a global investment approach with assets under management exceeding EUR 50 billion.

Silja Varmola began their education journey in 2001 at Helsingin kauppakorkeakoulu, where they pursued a Master of Science degree in Finance. Silja completed their studies in 2006. Additionally, in 2004, Silja participated in a student exchange program at Ecole des hautes Etudes commerciales, although the specific field of study for this program is unspecified.
