Valerie Ells

Valerie Ells has an extensive work experience in finance and accounting. Valerie is currently serving as the Chief Financial Officer at Kevin's Natural Foods since June 2022. Prior to this, they were the Chief Financial Officer at Laird Superfood from April 2019 to July 2022, and also worked as the Controller from April 2018 to April 2019.

Before joining Laird Superfood, Valerie worked at First Interstate Bank as the Senior Accounting Manager, FP&A from January 2018 to March 2018, and as the Interim Chief Accounting Officer and SEC Reporting Manager from August 2017 to January 2018.

Valerie also worked at Bank of the Cascades where they served as the Controller from June 2015 to August 2017, and as the Assistant Controller from February 2013 to June 2015. Prior to that, they worked at Omeros Corporation as the Assistant Controller from April 2011 to January 2013, and as a Senior Accountant from January 2010 to April 2011.

Valerie began their career at KPMG LLP as a Senior Audit Associate from June 2009 to January 2010. Before that, they worked as an Audit Associate at KPMG Audit from 2007 to 2009.

Valerie Ells completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in Accounting at Gonzaga University from 2003 to 2007. Following their undergraduate studies, they pursued a Master of Accountancy (MAcc) from Gonzaga University's School of Business Administration from 2006 to 2007.
