Mercedes L. Lopez

Dr. Lopez specializes in Emotional Intelligence and Rational Emotive coaching. Her coaching is based on behavioral driven self-growth to attain success at work and in life. Her life work is with executives, leaders at all levels, teams, women leaders, and family coaching. She has 40 years’ experience in leadership coaching, grooming future leaders, executive selection, training, facilitation, process improvements and change management initiatives.

Her work with Fortune 500, middle-sized and small businesses was in the United States, Europe, Asia, Mexico, Central, South America, and New Zealand. The industries were technology, telecommunication, computer, semi-conductor, grocery Chains, transportation companies, and School Districts, Pharmaceutical, PetSmart, Banks, Engineering, Veterinarians and others. She partnered with Key Associates working with executive teams in Fortune 500 companies. She authored articles in the Journal of Psychology, the Journal of Psychiatry, Application Development Trends, and the 2017 issue of the International Journal of Evidence-Based Coaching & Mentoring – Vol 15.

She currently is a Full Professor at the Jack Welch Management Institute (JWMI) teaching MBA international and domestic high-caliber students to become successful leaders.

Mercedes holds a doctoral degree in Communication (Behavioral) from the University of Florida in Gainesville, Florida. She has Emotional Intelligence Certifications for coaching Leaders and for training EQi coaches from MHS.
