Alan H Chambers currently serves as the Director of Applied Plant Breeding Innovations at KeyGene, focusing on developing translational genetic solutions to enhance economic returns for clients. Additionally, Chambers holds a position as Courtesy Faculty and Assistant Professor of Genetics - Tropical Fruit Crops at the University of Florida, where innovative methods for tropical fruit crop improvement are researched and executed. Prior experience includes a consultancy role in vanilla cultivation and genetics, work as an Associate Principal Scientist at PepsiCo managing collaborations to enhance material quality, and extensive academic training culminating in a PhD in Horticultural Science from the University of Florida. Chambers' educational background also includes a Master’s degree in Plant Pathology from Cornell University and a Bachelor’s degree in Genetics and Biotechnology from Brigham Young University.
