Timo Hellwig

Timo Hellwig, CFA has extensive work experience in the field of project finance, particularly in the energy and infrastructure sectors. Timo began their career as a Project Finance specialist at DZ BANK AG in May 2012 and worked there until July 2014. Timo then joined Sumitomo Mitsui Trust Bank Limited in August 2014 and continued their work in Project Finance until September 2015. In September 2015, they joined MUFG and served as a Project Finance specialist in the Energy & Infrastructure Advisory division until February 2018. Since February 2018, Timo has been working at KfW IPEX-Bank, initially as a Vice President in Project Finance for Infrastructure until July 2021, and then as a Director in the same department from August 2021 onwards.

Timo Hellwig, CFA, holds a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Finance, Accounting, and Taxation from the University of Bayreuth. Timo obtained this degree from 2009 to 2012. Prior to that, they pursued a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Business Administration with a focus on Corporate Finance, also from the University of Bayreuth, from 2006 to 2009. In 2008 and 2009, Timo Hellwig studied Japanese Management at Gakushuin University. Additionally, they have obtained the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) certification from the CFA Institute in August 2021.
