Andrea Johnston

First Vice President Operative Compliance at KfW

Andrea Johnston started their work experience in 1988 as a Deutsche Bank Ausbildung Bankkauffrau until 1990. Andrea then transitioned to KfW in 1997 and held various roles including Director KfW Office in New Delhi, Country Manager for the Middle East and North Africa, Head of Division for Natural Resources and Climate in Asia, and finally, First Vice President of Operative Compliance starting in 2019.

Andrea Johnston completed a Bank Apprenticeship at Deutsche Bank Köln from 1988 to 1990. Following this, they pursued a Magister degree in Cultural Anthropology and Geography at the University of Cologne from 1991 to 1996, and a Diplom degree in VWL Economics at the same university from 1991 to 1997. Additionally, they studied at Trinity College Dublin in 1993-1994.
