Juan Figueroa

Juan Figueroa is a seasoned geologist with extensive experience in exploration and mine geology. Currently serving as a Senior Project Geologist at KGHM Chile since October 2022, Figueroa has previously led exploration teams at Minera Tres Valles and Pampa Camarones Spa, focusing on drill program development and geological mapping. Figueroa has held notable positions at Golder Associates, CEMIN, and Sociedad Contractual Minera El Toqui, where responsibilities included geological QA for tailings dam construction and brownfield drill hole program design. An academic background includes teaching geology at Universidad Andrés Bello and research at the University of Granada, where Figueroa specialized in copper stratabound ore deposits. Figueroa obtained a Master's degree in Geology from Universidad de Granada and a Geologist degree from Universidad de Concepción.
